That was too short but too good

this needs to be made into a full game the concept is so cool

why

Was there supposed to be a video in the empty rectangle shown after the probe launch?

(+5)

Ah, yep. There was meant to be a video and I think the downloadable version of the game still has it working. The method I used for hosting the video online seems to not be functioning anymore.
If it's any consolation - the video was something I made in about 10 minutes the day before I submitted this as an assessment - it showed a very crudely drawn earth through the portal. I can't remember what that means story-wise, but past me must have thought it very important to end on!

Short and sweet. Felt like something spooky shoulda happened when I started using the mysterious stuff for power. This game reminded me of another, but it's been a while.

(+1)

which game does it remind you of if I may ask?

(+3)

It took some remembering SpacePlan Prototype seems to be the one I'm thinking of.

thank you!

did you know it got released as a full game?

(+1)

Yea, when I finished it last, I was happy where it left off so I didn't buy.

WHEREEEEEEEEEEEE

I'm not a big player of idle games, but my partner plays tons of them. When I first had this idea of a 'short narrative idle/incremental prototype', he recommended I check out a few others, and Spaceplan was one of those - and probably my favourite :)

Good and short prototype. Quite interesting.

Dude, amazing game. I love the looks and feel it gives off, love the storyline it has even though it's a very short one. The text box dialogue off to the right is amazing and I would love to see more of that. Honestly, I would love to praise you on this and try to encourage you to continue adding on to either this game or make a new game sorta like this one, because I believe with your capabilities, you can make an amazing idle game that everyone would love. I got sad to realize this was a very short game but I loved it.

Hello everyone - thanks for all the kind words (and sorry for not noticing them until recently!)

This was always intended to be a prototype, and was developed under a pretty short deadline for my diploma. This means no story beyond this was written, and quite a few mechanics weren't made modular to save time for the assignment. So, although I'm absolutely chuffed to see the positive praise - there are no plans to continue work on it.
Or, at least, no plans to continue work on *this* version - I very well may re-make AWAKE (or something mechanically and thematically similar) sometime in the future. I will be sure to post here and let you know if such a project ever exists!

Thanks again for all the kind words!

and thats okay whatever you develop im behind you as long as its not biggoted

Does This Game Continued from This Day or Not Just Asking!

(+1)(-1)

Unfortunately, there is no plan to continue development of this prototype. Perhaps one day I will make something along the same lines - I'll be sure to let you know if so!

Please continue this. I NEED to know what happens next.

I loved this! It has a ton of potential, I hope to see it finished

I...LOVE IT!!! I don't want it to end. Please continue the story.

This is super duper neato! I wish it would be developed further! I literally created an account just to post this comment :)

I wish it was on mac.... I just realized you can play in browser.

VERY COOL!  Love the look and feel, great writing and mood.  Would love to see more!  :)

really cool! i played through to the end, gotta say I actually had forgotten it was a prototype and that it was jarring when it just ended. i'd definitely like to see this finished though, really cool spin on the whole cookie-clicker type incremental game with discovering stuff about your surroundings.
